about me
Hi! I’m Laura, a Cambridgeshire artist, illustrator and teacher with a deep-rooted passion for nature, wildlife, and the great outdoors. My journey into the world of art has been a lifelong affair, driven by a love for creativity that I’ve nurtured since childhood.
With over 14 years experience working in secondary education as an Drama and Art teacher, I am a passionate advocate of the Arts and the transformative impact that quality Arts Education can have on children and teenagers. I studied teaching in Cardiff and earned myself a First Class degree in Drama Education in 2010. Over the years, I have enjoyed running extra curricular drama clubs, organising rehearsals, directing plays and musicals and visits to the theatre.
My mission is to enrich the lives of young people by encouraging inquisitive minds and creative souls through arts exploration.
My artistic journey is inspired by the beauty of nature and the myriad forms of life that thrive in it. Through my watercolour paintings, I aim to capture the beauty and vibrancy of wildlife. I use playful patterns and bright colours to reflect the happiness and healing that nature brings to me. Each piece created is a reflection of my love for the environment and a celebration of the wonders that surround us.
I have recently worked hard to develop prints and patterns with my art work. I am looking forward to launching a range of products this Autumn, where I will be taking part in a small number of markets and fairs!
You can expect a number of
textile and stationary based
products aimed at adults and
children, as well as prints of my original artwork.
